At Yoga Power Spirit we share a physical practice to strengthen the body, shed toxins and become more flexible to create space in the body and therefore in the mind. We cultivate an inner listening, which inevitably leads to a more peaceful life.
The practice of yoga is a personal journey, even though we all share each other's energy in the room. Our 6' by 2' mat becomes a mirror, a reflection for us to see clearly what we need more of and what we need to let go of. Releasing anxiety, stress, shame, and guilt whatever is weighing us down. We break old habit patterns (samskaras) and create new ones in order to recall our true nature with faith, compassion, trust, ease and love.
Practice daily or as frequently as your schedule permits. Our classes will transform your body, your mind and spirit. In order to reap the most benefits, come in often; at least three times a week. If you are a beginner or a seasoned practitioner, yesterdays practice will not serve you today. Stay in the present moment on your mat and receive the gifts of yoga. The present moment is all we have, with our feet rooted in the earth and our hearts soaring in the sky. Ultimately our practice will lead us to happiness one breath at a time.

Appropriate & accessible for all levels, this course will guide you through the primary series of Ashtanga Yoga taking some time to explore proper alignment principles for each of the postures.
Known as Yoga Chikitsa or yoga therapy, the primary series is meant to cleanse & detoxify the gross body while creating space & length in the hips & hamstrings. This four week course will include an introduction to the 8 limbs of Ashtanga Yoga, exploration of the tristana method & mindful attention to postural alignment.
Vinyasa Yoga sequences are a creative hybrid of the Ashtanga Yoga tradition & include the postures from all of the Ashtanga series. This course will cover many of the postures often practiced in Vinyasa classes, providing you with the opportunity to enhance your practice in all aspects. Whether you are just now discovering yoga or have an established practice, this course will be a beneficial enrich your practice & allow you to further realize the physical, emotional & spiritual benefits of Yoga.
